“… A Very ‘British’ Design…”

Thank you, to who ever it was at the Whittlebury National Audio Show in September (WhitNAS14) that was heard commenting thus in our room.
I take the complement on many levels;
Yes, I have served my apprenticeship in a market that for nearly half a century dominated the planet in terms of Research and Development expenditure.
Yes, I have learned that smooth clean lines result in smooth clean performance.
Yes, I have learned that Simplicity is the key to Accuracy.
Yes, I have spent such a long time immersed in my subject that I have seen a deeper operating level than that of my peers.
Yes, the way my designs offer a path to a Reduction of Operational Simplicity demands a particular external style to be applied to my loudspeakers, through a ‘Form-begets-Function’ imperative. They are how they are meant to be.

And then the music started to play…

And the same person was then heard to say to his friends; “You can’t tell where the music is coming from”.
He then opened his eyes, looked individually at his friends, and said “Close your eyes. You can’t tell where the music is coming from!!!”
Don’t let the outward simplicity of my designs belie the scope of their ability or performance.
We’re Alacrity Audio, and we’re here to stay.
