In business, your Reputation is all you have to stand on. It’s no use offering a Bargain service when the service provider backs out at the slightest hint at a problem.
I have had an awful experience with a scooter purchased to aid my mobility (as some of you may know, I am an early-stage MS sufferer). It arrived after an extended period with a number of problems including a cracked and leaking battery.
I contacted the seller who was, on the first call, very sympathetic, but then BLOCKED MY NUMBER, leaving me with a bitter choice. I could go to his address, costing about a hundred quid for the return journey, with no guarantee of a solution, as he states on his site that “no stock is held at this address” (hmm, shoulda spotted that one…).
Second, launch a legal case at a potential cost of hundreds of pounds…
