HiFi Shows; Are They Any Use Anymore?
Being a long seasoned veteran of the UK HiFi Show scene, I’ve witnessed the withdraw of the mainstream UK manufacturers and also witnessed their replacement.
It’s not a pretty picture.
My fellow start-ups and cottage-industry manufacturers are battling against an ever expanding aggressive homogenizing swarm of well-financed middlemen displaying systems with prices to make regular attendees of the Birmingham Boat Shows’ eyes water.
No longer do hifi show attendees expect to see system improvements they can afford; instead they expect to see the pomp and circumstance of a Royal Wedding, with its’ reciprocal 1/4 million / 1/2 million sound system.
How is this driving the market?
