We’re trying something new this year. The Indulgence Show in London this October gives us a wonderful opportunity to showcase the best of our products (let’s face it, that’ll be all of them) in suitably luxurious surroundings amid pleasantly luxurious company. Said company this year will include the wonderful MingDaUK mingdalogowho will be joining us for the weekend, bringing with them some selected items from their expanding stable of products. In partnership, the acclaimed Dundee loudspeakers release the full potential of the Dynastie Valve amplification, allowing the music to shine through the component chain. Our music sources will include, a Vinyl Passion Unity2 Turntable, with an Audio Detail “Nuvistor” Phono stage. Digital Music will also be streamed through the Lampizator transport, and the stunning “Chela-3” Valve Pre/DAC…

Brighton Music Conference 2014: Influential companies, thought leaders and artists descend on Brighton for a celebration of Electronic Music

Electronic music’s most influential companies and thought leaders will descend on Brighton next week for the first annual Brighton Music Conference. The two day UK event has 20 parties & club nights, 50 exhibitors and over 60 Panels, masterclasses, Q&A’s and Showcases. The Event is backed by leading industry bodies such as Beatport, Native Instruments, Pioneer, Ableton, Sennheiser, Mixcloud, PRS for Music, Funktion-One, Roland, Point Blank, and Spotify.

Already being quoted as Britain’s answer to The Miami Winter Conference and Amsterdam Dance Event thought leaders from around the world are taking part. Just some of the confirmed speakers for the conference include Jono Grant Above & Beyond, Terry Weerasinghe, VP of Music Services at Beatport, Mark Williamson, Director of Artist Services at Spotify, Meindert Kennis, Head of Brand & Marketing Spinnin’ Records, John Truelove, owner of Truelove Music, Jon Lee, Head of Traktor Marketing at Native Instruments, Stuart Knight, Director Toolroom Records and Martin Carvell, MD of DJ Magazine.

The two-day exhibition is focused purely on education and inspiration and is open to all fans of dance music. With 40 masterclasses and Q&A’s covering everything from technology showcases by Ableton, and Native Instruments, to How To Set Up A Label, 21st Century DJing, How To Get An Agent, Piracy, and Is PR Worth It? – The exhibition will be a celebration of the genre of music and a crash course in electronic music career advancement.

And in what is sure to be some of the many highlights of the exhibition, leading UK DJ Eats Everything will be put under the live interview spotlight by Ryan Keeling, Editor of Resident Advisor. There will also be discussion on the History of Electronic Music with Bill Brewster, co-author of the seminal book Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, DJ Mag’s Carl Loben, and Dave Haslam, who was a resident DJ of the famous Madchester venue The Haçienda. Huw Owen, Producer of BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix will also sit on a panel about The Role of Radio alongside Mixcloud founder Nikhil Shah, and Funktion-One’s renowned soundsystem designer Tony Andrews will discuss The Importance of Audio Quality.

Other DJs confirmed to do talks and Q&As at the BMC exhibition include Dave Clarke, the Freemasons, Lisa Lashes, Judge Jules, DJ Spen and Dave Seaman. Chicago acid house pioneer DJ Pierre, Mobilee’s AND.ID and Audiofly’s Antony Middleton will now all be interviewed live at the exhibition. Altogether 50 companies will showcase the latest music kit and electronic music initiatives including Sennheiser, Loopmasters, Pioneer DJ, and DJ Superstore.

Whilst BMC is first and foremost a business and education conference there will be over 20 parties and club nights in Brighton over the two days featuring leading artists from around the world including Jimpster, Darius Syrossian, Paul Woolford, Skream, DJ Pierre, Dave Clarke, DJ Spen, Wiggle, John 00 Fleming, Steve Mac, Anne Savage and Sebo K.
